  • ( ) Plan to use stolen credit card unravels

    A Mesa woman was arrested Tuesday evening when an attempt to use a stolen credit card to pay off her drug debt went wrong, police said.

    Angela Kratzer, 29, attempted to use a stolen credit card to buy a digital camera from a Walgreen's Pharmacy in the 1000 block of East Southern Avenue, which she later admitted she was going to pawn for money to pay her dealer for heroin, the report said.

    After being informed that she needed identification that matched the credit card to buy the camera, she bought food items instead, police said.

    When police responded to Kratzer's home in reference to the theft, she admitted that the credit card and purse she had were stolen and that the used syringes inside the purse belonged to her, according to a report.

    Kratzer was arrested on suspicion of theft of a credit card, fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of drug paraphernalia, said police. More>>
